So you may wonder why I bother responding to email-forwards like this (or like this one). And you may wonder why they make me so angry. I’ll tell you. The movement behind this tactic reminds me of these words from Jesus:
What’s more, when you receive the childlike on my account, it’s the same as receiving me. But if you give them a hard time, bullying or taking advantage of their simple trust, you’ll soon wish you hadn’t. You’d be better off dropped in the middle of the lake with a millstone around your neck. Doom to the world for giving these God-believing children a hard time! Hard times are inevitable, but you don’t have to make it worse—and it’s doomsday to you if you do. (Matt 18, The Message)
Below is the latest libelous Obama-hating email-forward I received in my inbox and my response:
A doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings of Fort Hood came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there. He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, “I am okay.” Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse, “I’m the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I’m so sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery.”
The soldier’s wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan , Alabama and drove all night to Ft. Hood. When she arrived she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to comfort him. Her husband was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side.
The nurse took this following picture:
What? No news crews or cameras? This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform. Mr. Bush Asked to Visit The Ft. Hood Wounded Soldiers…
Where was Whatshisname?????
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!
The fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood , got into his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood .
(Do you miss him yet???)
He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Mr. Bush only ask for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called “Main Base Headquarters” and reported, “The President is at Fort Hood and driving to the hospital.”
The base went bananas looking for Whatshisname.
When they found out it was Mr. Bush they immediately offered escort and Mr. Bush simply told them to keep his visit quiet and let him see the wounded and the dependents of the dead.
(Do you miss him yet???)
He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House.
(Can you believe this?)
Whatshisname flew to Fort Hood a few days later and held a “photo” session in a gym; and did not even go to the hospital!
All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.
This Bush/Whatshisname/Ft. Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the United States of America.

Okay. This email is barely true. You know how when you take a true/false test that if part of the statement is false then the whole statement is false? Or if you’re telling a half-truth it’s still a whole lie? Well, that’s what this email is. Whoever originated this story has basically defecated all over Mr. and Mrs. Bush’s class. Click on the link at the bottom where it says, “This story can be verified at truthorfiction.com” and you’ll see that only part of this story is true.
Including the link to truthorfiction.com was a stroke of genius. They are assuming you probably won’t bother clicking the link and searching the website for the story to check it out, and if you do; it’s no big deal because the people who originated this email do not think that you are smart enough to notice that Truth or Fiction doesn’t verify the whole story, which by the way, belies the integrity of truthorfiction.com; we can’t trust this website to tell us the whole truth. It seems that Truth or Fiction.com has an agenda and is only interested in disclosing certain truths/fictions… For a more complete picture, you should check out Snopes.com: http://www.snopes.com/photos/military/forthood.asp.
