Question Tuesday: Love Thyself

Every Tuesday we gather at Speak What We Feel to ruminate together over questions about life both serious and silly to grow together in understanding and perspective of one another and of our world at large. Today’s question:

What does it look like to deny and die to the false, sinful self while growing in the Lord toward a better, healthier understanding of our Image-bearing and redeemed self?

In other words, as a Christian, what does it look like to have a right view/love of our self (which seems necessary if we are to love our neighbors as ourselves)?

"To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance." 😉 --Oscar Wilde, spoken by Lord Goring, An Ideal Husband
